• Backup and restore your data on your own cloud back which only you can access (when you choose to enable it)
• Improve app functionality and user experience

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All financial data is stored locally on your device using encrypted AsyncStorage
• We do not have access to your locally stored data
• Your data remains on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud backup

Cloud Backup (Optional)

• Google Drive (Android): When enabled, your data is encrypted and backed up to your personal Google Drive
• iCloud (iOS - Coming Soon): Will use your personal iCloud storage
• Backups are encrypted with device-specific keys
• We do not have access to your cloud backups

Security Measures

• Biometric authentication (fingerprint/Touch ID only, no Face ID)
• Encrypted local storage
• Device-specific encryption keys for backups
• No data transmission to our servers

Permissions We Request

Android Permissions

1. USE_FINGERPRINT / USE_BIOMETRIC
   • Purpose: Enable fingerprint/Touch ID authentication to secure app access
   • Usage: Optional security feature you can enable/disable in settings
2. READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
   • Purpose: Allow selection of profile pictures from your photo library
   • Usage: Only when you choose to add a profile picture
3. RECORD_AUDIO
   • Purpose: Future voice note feature for transaction notes
   • Usage: Currently not implemented, will be optional when available

iOS Permissions

1. NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription
   • Purpose: Access photo library to choose profile pictures
   • Usage: Only when you select "Choose from Library" for profile picture

Data Sharing

Your data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Google OAuth: When you sign in with Google, we receive only your basic profile (name, email, profile picture)
• Cloud Backup Services: When you enable backup, data is stored in your personal cloud storage (Google Drive/iCloud)
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication and optional cloud backup
• Google Drive API: For optional data backup (Android)
• Expo Services: For app updates and crash reporting (no personal data included)

Children's Privacy

Prospera is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (all data is stored locally on your device)
• Delete your data (through app settings or by uninstalling the app)
• Disable cloud backups at any time
• Disable biometric authentication
• Export your data in various formats (CSV, JSON, PDF)

Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Cloud Backups: Retained in your personal cloud storage until you delete them
• Profile Pictures: Stored locally until you remove or change them

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
